Notability
[edit]There is no clear evidence of notability. I did some searching. There are a few news mentions about Anu Muhammad commenting on how he got beaten up while protesting, but that is not notable. Other than that, I couldn't find any sources that would indicate notability. Some of the claims in the article can't be verified. For example, I couldn't find his name on the Faculty page of his university. --CronopioFlotante (talk) 21:10, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- Found out that his real name is Muhammad Anisur Rahman. Added it to the article. It shows up on the faculty roster of his university. CronopioFlotante (talk) 10:22, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Update. I'm still unsure about notability per WP:PROF. However, the subject does seem to satisfy the general notability guideline for his political activities. I'm removing the notability tag. CronopioFlotante (talk) 14:09, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Non-neutral point of view
[edit]The October 2024 edits of মাহতাব উদ্দীন আহমেদ have shifted this article away from independent sources and introduced an advertising tone and strong point of view based on the website of the subject and publications of organizations he works for, which have a vested interest in promoting him. Opinions like, "Muhammad stands against class-gender-ethnic-religious discrimination, exploitation, environmental destruction, colonial domination, neo-liberal aggression in Bangladesh and elsewhere" may not be stated in Wikipedia's voice and should not be sourced to him. Such language would be acceptable only if sourced to independent source and attributed inline. Similarly, citing non-independent sources to support the dates he was involved with an organization and his job title is fine, but what he accomplished there needs independent sources. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:57, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
