Pope or antipope?

[edit]

Legally speaking Anacletus was the canonically elected Pope and Innocent was the anti-Pope.

So is written in article. The thing was not so simple.--Stebunik (talk) 19:03, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Order of Events

[edit]

The chronology of events in the text is misleading. Innocent started dealing with the Emperor Lothar on February 18, and wrote to him again on May 11, while he was still in Rome. On March 2, he excommunicated Pope Anacletus. Innocent was still in Italy on August 12, six months after the Election. He arrived at Cluny on October 24, 1130. He held a synod at Clermont on November 18. This article is seriously flawed and needs work. --Vicedomino (talk) 06:51, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
