Why I Created This Page

I created this page to provide a space for discussing the phenomenon of "Anti-North Indian sentiment" from a historical, social, and cultural perspective. This sentiment, which has existed in various forms across different regions of India, is a subject often overlooked or misunderstood. For example, South India has experienced tensions over issues such as language imposition, with the promotion of Hindi in southern states being a point of contention. Additionally, political and cultural differences, such as the dominance of Hindi in national media and politics, have contributed to feelings of alienation among some South Indians. My intention is to shed light on the factors that contribute to such sentiments, as well as to present the topic in a balanced and neutral manner, in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines. Events like the anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s are part of the larger historical context that needs to be understood in these discussions.
