[edit]Remove EcoHouse Group section as article about Emery, not EcoHouse Group. Course of action has already been recommended to me on Wikipedia help chat. Stevecastro (talk) 16:09, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- Disagree. No-one would have heard of Emery if it wasn't for Ecohouse, and you were happy enough with that section until it got something negative in.
Pinkbeast (talk) 16:11, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Didn't you remove the vast majority of stuff about EcoHouse a few months ago because it concerned the company rather than Armstrong Emery? In this case how is a lawsuit, or the section in general, different? Stevecastro (talk) 16:47, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- I have removed the Request Edit, because it looks like the corresponding text is no longer in the article. Please let me know if I have done this in error. CorporateM (Talk) 18:20, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
Stadium Update
[edit]Hey everyone, the stadium mentioned in the "Sport" section seems to have finished construction, we should update that information! Here are some links I found referring to it, but it may be talking about a different stadiumAdamh4 (talk) 20:00, 20 March 2014 (UTC) -- http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1584741/venue-guide-estadio-das-dunas-natal-2014-world-cup-stadium-brazil?cc=5901 http://www.ecohousegroup.com/Natal-World-Cup-stadium-kicks-off-with-Alecrim.htm
- I haven't heard anything back yet, so I think I'm gonna go ahead and make the changes! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about it. Adamh4 (talk) 18:56, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- Er. I don't speak Portuguese, but it seems to me that that World Cup stadium is not the same as the stadium being built for Alecrim, although the former is built on the site of their old demolished stadium. Pinkbeast (talk) 19:55, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
No idea where Adamh4 got the idea we built the World Cup stadium from (believe me if we had built that stadium I wouldn't have neglected to mention it all this time!). Pinkbeast is right the World Cup stadium was built on the old state-owned stadium where Alecrim used to play but has nothing to do with EcoHouse. However as the article says, Alecrim did play against another team called ABC in the first match at the stadium. Stevecastro (talk) 15:17, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I must have been mistaken. I saw that the original statement on the page said the stadium would be done by the end of 2013, and when doing research found that stadium, but should have looked further into it. I can go ahead and revert the edits. That being said, we should try and find out what point the construction of Alecrim's stadium is at, because it should be finished by now. Alecrim FC Ownership
[edit]According to this he does not own the club. He does claim to have put money into the club but that could just be sponsorship.
Anthony Armstrong Emery does not own Alecrim, though he has put a significant investment into its operation. He is rather, as he puts it, the club’s “elected dictator”, appointed by the club members. As such he is not only the sole Englishman running a football club anywhere in the country, he is the only foreigner.
- I found this source that claims he does own it; we should keep searching for a straight answer until we know for sure. [[1]] Adamh4 (talk) 16:13, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- Went ahead and added this source to the page -- hope that's alright Adamh4 (talk) 17:30, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
Ive corrected it as the statement in the Telegraph is not ambiguous. It is also more recent than your reference and i'm sure Armstrong Emery would have challenged it if it were not true. I've contacted his PA to ask but she has not responded. There seems to be no dispute that he is President of Alecrim but the articles that show him as owner seem to have sourced Wikipedia. While I acknowledge the wikipedia works off references I would say in this case that a recent UK newspaper would carry more weight than an older foreign football site. This is not a minor detail and should not be left as is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.8.4.124 (talk) 11:11, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks to the editor
[edit]As I'm victim of ecohouse and Armstrong fraud, I contacted you about the situation. It was my first post to wikipedia and I would like the editor who added this section: "but is now the subject of fraud investigations after the Brazilian Embassy in Singapore (where many Ecohouse investors were located) denied that the company had any involvement with the scheme. [4][5][6][7][8] Ecohouse is now in liquidation[9] and Emery is now based in Dubai.[10]" who knows how this individual was using his previous wikipedia profile in Dubai... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.48.33.165 (talk) 17:00, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
