Speedy Deletion
[edit]This guy is a no-body - does he meet the notability guidelines? I'm pretty sure it is ANT editing this page too due to the amount of vandalism on Joe Rogans page
- No, not a candidate for speedy deleltion, he's a well-known comic, and he's appeared on three television series (as the article states, so there is an assertion of notability in it). If you're hell-bent on deletion, you can make a full (non-speedy) nomination for deletion, but I am pretty sure there will be no deletion forthcoming. - Nunh-huh 22:08, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Watch for more BLP violations
[edit]Someone (it looks like an anoymous IP) has be larding this article with BLP violations. I've removed the ones I've seen, but it would appear that the article needs more eyes watching it. - Nunh-huh 22:16, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Re: Watch for more BLP violations
[edit]I address some of this anonymous IP's edits in Joe Rogan's Discussion page in entry 11 [1]. Where this person (I believe is ANT) has vandalized. He's definitely abusing these wiki pages. badwordwit 22:20 EST June 23, 2007
Capitalizations of names
[edit]As far as can be determine from the references, the name is "Ant", not "ANT". Please use normal orthography unless there is a clear consensus on the talk page to do otherwise. - Nunh-huh 03:58, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
In all respect, ANT's name should be capitalized. It is even cited when mentioned on his page that he prefers it. That is part of who he is as an entertainer and I feel that we should respect him enough to spell his name the way that he is recognized in the world. That is in all caps. Jen2u (talk) 05:41, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- The English language has clear rules of capitalization; it doesn't allow opt-outs. Anyone who recognizes "ANT" will have no trouble recognizing "Ant". - Nunh-huh 09:28, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Jen2u above. If that's the way he says it is legally then we should respect it. I went online and more than a few places have print it all in caps "ANT". How much more discussion or consensus are you looking for? It's also broadcast on Celebrity Fit Club in all caps. He was just on Lovelines and said that ANT is also his registered trademark. So I checked that out too: [2]. [1] Does that mean you are now going to spell his name; ANT® ? What a pickle. - We don't put ™ by names - we don't even put ™ by trademarks, because there's no reason for us to do so. And we don't adopt people's idiosyncratic orthography just because they want us to. (By the way, an actual reference to a legal document that changes his name to "ANT" might make a difference. But so far we've seen none. ) That it is a trademark is an additional reason for us not to use it. - Nunh-huh 15:00, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Online memorial
[edit]The page stated: "November 23, 2008, many believe, was the date of the web's first online memorial service for a same sex couple.[1]"
This is a claim that can probably never be substantiated, and "many believe" is one weasel word too many. If you choose to reinstate this, please don't tell me, I find restoration of poor quality content too painful (and too frequent!). Heenan73 (talk) 19:19, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
