I hear this actress wasn't in Toy Story 3 because she asked for more money and Pixar wouldn't oblige. Anyone have a source for this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.26.53.250 (talk) 20:18, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"three men driving"

[edit]

I edited the opening paragraph to reflect the fact that Annie Potts was not hit by "three men driving under the influence of alcohol," but by a car driven by a man under the influence of alcohol. There may have been three drunkards in the car, but only one of them was driving, and the car was what hit her, not three men. Aaronimo 21:01, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

It looks like some sites (including IMDB) say that Potts was born in Kentucky and some (including The Tennessean) say she was born in Nashville.

The following sources say she was born in Nashville:

  • Film Actors. Hollywood Creative Directory. 2001.
  • Laufenberg, Norbert B. (2005). Entertainment Celebrities. Trafford Publishing.
  • Allport, Brandy Hilboldt (2006-10-28). "A.M.Stir". The Florida Times-Union.
  • "Annie Potts". Hollywood.com.

The following sources say she was born in Franklin, Kentucky:

  • Brant, Marley (2006). Happier Days: Paramount Television's Classic Sitcoms 1974-1984. Billboard Books.
  • Annie Potts at IMDb
  • "Annie Potts". TV.com.

Can anyone find a reliable source for either claim? Kaldari 02:43, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Annie Potts is my cousin. She was born in Nashville, but her family is from Franklin, KY which is just north of Nashville. She is a descendant of the Crowdus and Stevenson families from Southern KY - these families founded the Nashville, Chattanooga, and St. Louis Railroad, the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, and the Southern Pacific Railroad. (ie. she comes from money) - 76.22.201.207

--My genealogy sources, which place her as my fifth cousin (through the Crowdus family) state she was born in Kentucky. If she was, in fact, born in Nashville, it was probably an accident of being close to that hospital. jaknouse (talk) 23:01, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was not that they were close to the hospital. It is that the best hospitals closest to Franklin, KY are in Nashville...(ie Vanderbilt and St. Thomas. Franklin, KY is right on the Tennessee and Kentucky border. Thus it is about 30 miles from the north side of Nashville. - 76.22.201.207

The picture for the page is extremely outdated, but I personally hate making big changes like that. Anyone else think that we should update to a much more recent pic? Elissabulkin (talk) 13:58, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There are no more images available in Commons. Feel free to upload a more recent image as long as it meets the Wikipedia:Image use policy.--☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 23:27, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
