The author's personal website

I just happened to pick up a book by this author and, wishing to inform myself on her, came here. This article about her is in principle fine, and informative enough..., BUT:

What is the point of having her personal website linked (and twice, too) if you'd need a password to call it up ?

It's of course Anna Quindlen's right to protect her website with a password, and no doubt she had very good reasons to do so..., but I feel that under these circumstances it would be better to remove the link(s). OR, if there is a fan club or something of the sort the members of which do have the password, put in some explanatory remark (like "only for fan club members" or similar). As it is, it only annoys the reader. And makes him/her wonder what the public can have done to the author to prompt this (quasi hostile) reaction.

PS: I hope there is someone around here to discuss with. Looking at what preceeded, I get the impression that the talking here was so far mostly done by these so-called bots. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mpa swiss (talk • contribs) 06:52, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
