Lead
  • "She is the reigning Dutch Women's Internet Chess Champion" - is this a title which will be repeated every year? From the body of the article, I got the impression it was a sort of one-off, but that might be wrong. If it's notable and recurring, it should probably have an article too.
    • Short answer: I believe it was a stand-in for the normal Dutch Women's Chess Championship, which wasn't held because of the pandemic. In that sense, it may have similar prestige to the normal championship. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 06:20, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Long answer: It's different from the regular championship because it is speed chess, not classical chess. Beyond that, I don't know if it will be held in the future. Even if they decide to keep it in future years, I don't if it will hold the same prestige once the normal championship returns. That being said, my reasoning for highlighting it in the lead was that the 2020 edition may still hold the same prestige because it will always be the only national championship held that year. And regardless of the importance, it's still probably her biggest non-junior achievement given all of the much better players in the field. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 06:20, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Early life
  • "Her grandfather taught her a variety of games also including checkers and backgammon" - maybe Wikilink the other two games, particularly as "checkers" is somewhat an American term. I sort of feel like "as well as chess" at the end rather than "also including" would work better too.
  • "She did not have professional coaching at least up to that point" -> "Until that point she had not..." sounds better wording
  • "who acts as her travelling coach" - should be in the past tense
  • "She has called Maaike Keetman her biggest rival in these youth competitions" - wording carries the suggestion that Maaije Keetman is someone notable. If possible, give some qualifier just so that the reader doesn't assume they're supposed to know her.
2010–14
Under-12 European silver medal
2015–16
FM and WIM titles, under-16 European champion
  • No issues that I can see.
2017–present
National internet champion
Chess Olympiad
  • "Kazarian has a strong preference for playing 1.e4" - if I've read the source right, all of her recorded games start with this move so it might be worth just saying something along those lines. Saying she has a "strong preference" for it sounds slightly original research if the source only gives the raw data.
Notable games
  • What makes the game listed "notable" relative to any others she's played? Ideally, per WP:LISTCRIT, the choice of entries in this (one-item) list should be cited to an outside source rather than hand-picked by Wikipedia.
    • The section is more intended to be "example games that are at least somewhat notable" (either because of the game's importance, or the game itself was particularly interesting), and not necessarily intended to be the most notable games she has played. This particular game was chosen because Kazarian said this was her best game. Regardless of her opinion, it was definitely important in her becoming a European Youth Champion, which is her biggest junior achievement. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 06:20, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • More generally, we also only have a few of her games with source-able annotations from a master-level player (in this case, herself). I would always rather choose one of those over a game with no available annotations (i.e. just listing the moves from the game without any explanation).
