Origin history of this article

[edit]

I want to document (make accessible) the origin story of this article. A student (Earlyblue) in a university German history class did the initial research for a German history course project and created a stub article as part of a WikiEdu assignment for that course.

The article was submitted in late March 2024 and rejected as Anita Daniel was deemed not sufficiently notable based on the few sources cited. Then in April the author of this article (Xoak) did additional research and launched this article.

Wikipedia discussion of notability

Last not least, just a month after the article went live, some relatives of Anita Daniel found the page and contacted me (the instructor of the history course). They are planning to donate Daniel's papers to the Leo Baeck Institute in New York, and sent along several photos, which we will try to add to this page. @Hmarcuse, That's great news! I'm exercising liberty to disclose about our mails: I've read the mail you forwarded, and delightfully, you can personally contact me if you need help with uploading those files/images (you're right, it can get a bit tricky to properly manage all the copyright hassles).
