This isn't an article, it's a polemic. 68.88.204.228 16:09, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What crimes did the two gentlemen remaining in prison commit? Is that not pertinent when discussing the circumstances of their incarceration? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.105.13.50 (talk) 06:31, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah this is really important to have here for POV. Kevin143 (talk) 08:48, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New entry 16feb2013: I looked up "Herman Wallace" to find out what crime he was incarserated for, and seldom have I found so little info about a subject in Wikipedia. Sigve

Albert Woodfox

[edit]

Woodfox should have his own article. Here's the latest on him: http://www.louisianaweekly.com/news.php?viewStory=632 Proxy User (talk) 04:20, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. 144.139.198.37 (talk) 05:24, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As near as I can tell, Woodfox has been ordered released but has not been so (as the article states). http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/08/us/albert-woodfox-angola-3-release-ordered/index.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.140.11.26 (talk) 03:34, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article is outdated

[edit]

I'm not an editor of this page and don't have the necessary knowledge to edit it, but I realized that it's outdated as I was reading it. For example, look at this sentence: "A third hearing is due in Spring 2012" which shows that it was written before that time. Plus, according to Amnesty, Herman has been diagnosed with advanced terminal liver cancer and has been reclassified as a medium security prisoner and moved out of solitary confinement into a ten-person dormitory. I think they are campaigning for his release because of his condition. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiForLeisure (talkcontribs) 19:33, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

cleanup

[edit]

I've attempted to improve the article but don't have time to do all the research necessary.

Here is one paragraph that needs work

Albert Woodfox has had two appeal hearings (one in November 2008 and one in May 2010) which have resulted in his conviction being overturned and him being granted full habeas corpus. Both appeals were overturned.[citation needed] Immediately after the first in November 2008, both men were moved out of the dormitory, separated and placed back in isolation and in March 2009, Wallace, along with a group of 15 inmates from Angola, was moved to Hunt Correctional Centre where a closed cell isolation tier was created for the first time. In November 2010, Albert was moved to David Wade Correctional Center which is seven hours north of his family and supporters, and stripped of his phone and visiting rights.

"Both appeals were overturned"??? Appeals were denied maybe --BoogaLouie (talk) 20:13, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
