Malapropism?
[edit]I question the correctness of the heading "Notable internees" - my Collins Dictionary defines an internee as "one who is confined to a certain place by government orders". The heading would be more appropriate for a prison!Cloptonson (talk) 19:16, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
War Graves
[edit]I have added a section on war graves to impress the cemetery is not totally forsaken, as the CWGC retain input in the care of the relevant graves/memorials. With the recent trend of war casualties (mainly post-discharge service deaths - some of whom were buried in unmarked graves) being accepted for belated commemoration by the CWGC after research and production of documentary evidence, there may be an increase in the figures commemorated after this date. Not being a local person, I cannot comment about civilian air raid casualty memorials but there may be someone who can!Cloptonson (talk) 20:31, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- I have followed up my own suggestion with account of the mass grave of May 1941, obtained from Liverpool Dossier series booklet The Great Liverpool Blitz by Richard Whittington-Ingram (1987). Still raises question as to if that represents all air raid victims buried here and the form of the memorial.Cloptonson (talk) 08:48, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have updated the figures from CWGC website of those buried at or commemorated at the cemetery by the CWGC.Cloptonson (talk) 19:57, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
Memorials and Burials section
[edit]Since I last worked on it the format has changed, with the list based format being changed to paragraph text. I have rearranged the Memorials and Burials section so that details on the war graves are in one paragraph for ease of reference. What is now the third paragraph of the section shows a repetition of such phrases as "buried in this cemetery are". What was wrong with the previous list format?Cloptonson (talk) 19:57, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
