Live at the Marquee album

[edit]

Marquee album- definitely NOT an Andy Scott's Sweet release!

This album was recorded in 1985 when the incarnation featuring Andy Scott AND Mick Tucker was reformed as was known by all and sundry as Sweet. When Mick left some six years year later in May 1991 and was replaced by Bodo Schopf the CD singles and album A on SPV reflected the name change. To refer to the Marquee album as an Andy Scott's Sweet release is thus plainly wrong. Whether it should be instead listed in the Sweet discography is one for debate too. Obviously. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.1.164.208 (talk) 05:35, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved this discussion to Talk:Sweet (band)#Where should we place Live at the Marquee (1989)? in order to expose it to everyone interested in Sweet (very few people are probably watching this page. Please continue the discussion over there. – IbLeo(talk) 07:44, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicated information

[edit]

The written material and lineup tables for "Andy Scott's Sweet" was initially found only on this respective page. They have since been moved to the main Sweet page as it is where it belongs, but are still featured here. There's no need for duplication across the pages, and I advocate the presence of all Sweet-related project information to be shown on the main page only. My argument for this is that both currently active versions of the band are still "Sweet" even if they feature only one classic member of the band, and also that the issue of two incarnations of a band existing has already been successfully dealt with on other band pages, such as Barclay James Harvest and L.A. Guns (in the case of the second the issue recently came to an end with the dissolution of one of the bands, but it did exist for a number of years).

His father worked at Van Leer in Ellesmere Port.

Proper attribution to the authors of the information can be found on the original page of production, and where to find this information is now presented in footnotes on the main page.

This discussion will be replicated on the other important pages (including Steve Priest) as this issue is relevent to all three.
