Kubilius is not in office yet!
[edit]Kirkilas is still acting Prime Minister of Lithuania. Kublilius is elected but is still forming the cabinet. Jakro64 (talk) 11:21, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Kubilius is officially appointed as Prime Minister of LT, with accordance with article 84 and article 92 of the LT Constitution; but yes he has 15 d. to name ministers of the Government. M.K. (talk) 12:25, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, he was appointed but only in office from today. Meanwhile Kirkilas was acting Prime Minister. I think it is clearer and more important to list from which day the Prime Minister (and the cabinet) actually is in office as the transition time between two cabinets is in Lithuania very long compared with other countries. Jakro64 (talk) 10:03, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, yes you may be right, that such thing maybe clearer. P.S his government will (if) assume office after today's vote in Seimas around 1500 (GMT+2). M.K. (talk) 12:48, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- To illustrate how funny this might be, take a look at this screen image from this morning: http://www.jankrogh.com/wikipedia/lrv_lt_20081209.jpg where Kirkilas actually seems to be the Prime Minister of the new cabinet. In the afternoon we had a new PM: http://www.jankrogh.com/wikipedia/lrv_lt_20081209a.jpg Jakro64 (talk) 19:40, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I cleaned up the article, it was full of ungrammatical words and there was some slangy usage ("...was the Prime Minister BACK in 1999..." etc). The only content I added was to clarify that Kubilius was pro-independence from the USSR, which was not made clear in the article as it stood before. Alexandermoir (talk) 23:47, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
