I am not sure why Prof. Wilkinson is intermittently described as "Sir" in the article. He was a CBE, which is not a knighthood and does not mean that the holder is called "Sir". Some CBEs are also knights (usually Knights Bachelor, which don't have initials to be placed after the name) but there's nothing in his obituary in the Independent to imply that he was a knight as well as an CBE.(148.252.128.222 (talk) 17:56, 8 May 2020 (UTC))[reply]
