Neutrality

[edit]

I wonder THeShavidow1, No Swan So Fine, CybJubal, SimplyLouis27, ThingsCanOnlyGetWetter if "defected to the Labour Party" should be changed to something like "left the Liberal Democrats for the Labour Party". Mcljlm (talk) 20:54, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds reasonable. I'll support whatever consensus is reached. --ThingsCanOnlyGetWetter (talk) 21:25, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As the person who wrote that sentence, I'll explain that I chose that word because it was the language used in the article cited. When I wrote it, I had no intention of comprimising the neutrality of the article. However, I do understand your perspective and will support the consensus reached in this discussion. CybJubal (talk) 22:55, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I realised you were using the cited article's word but neutral language doesn't necessarily appear in newspapers. Mcljlm (talk) 03:13, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's a fair comment. Once again: I'll support the consesus reached here. CybJubal (talk) 00:44, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Would also support the consensus but I think the suggestion is sensible THeShavidow1 (talk) 07:04, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I concur, it does help that we have a reason for their leaving. No Swan So Fine (talk) 09:30, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a better phrase than what I suggested? Mcljlm (talk) 03:20, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
