2009 expenses scandal

[edit]

The 2009 United Kingdom Parliamentary expenses scandal was one of the biggest stories of recent years. It ran day after day for over a month. This MP was singled out twice by the Daily Telegraph, making front-page news. Indeed, in his 14 years as an MP, it's the only time he's ever made front-page news on the national papers. Every single other MP implicated in the scandal has a section in their wikipedia profiles detailing precisely how they were involved, and in what way. (See, for example, Peter Viggers, Douglas Hogg, Anthony Steen, Baroness Uddin, Margaret Moran, Harry Cohen, Menzies Campbell and Chris Rennard, to pick examples from each party.) Indeed, many of the MPs NOT implicated in the scandal have sections in their wikipedia profiles stressing this fact.

So it is unhelpful to say the least that the relevant section here keeps being airbrushed as a whole block, and periodically deleted. Why does this MP merit special treatment? 109.202.227.41 (talk) 10:38, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
