Andrew Coffey → Andrew Coffey (football) – In addition to the move proposed here, I believe that a disambiguation page should be created out of the current primary title. There does not appear to be a primary topic in this situation -- the two articles for people with this name are stubs that fail to prove that one is more significant than the other, while the other Andrew Coffey noted in the hatnote, the hazing victim, only has an article about his death since that's the only significant coverage of him. The Coffey hazing case has the most information available I can find in a search, but given that he is not notable enough for a standalone biographical article per WP:BIO1E, combined with the fact that there is no evidence that one of the other two Andrew Coffeys is more likely as a primary search term than the other, I believe this page should be moved to the proposed title, with the main Andrew Coffey article being a disambiguation page between the three articles. - Andrew Coffey (football)? Andrew Coffey (Everton)? The nominator's suggested title seems too vague. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:20, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Good point. Andrew Coffey (football) works better, I think it's the most specific and clear to readers. JeffSpaceman (talk) 14:52, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. GiantSnowman 17:24, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Move to Andrew Coffey (Everton F.C. chairman) in-line with George Mahon (Everton F.C. chairman). GiantSnowman 17:29, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- That's actually a better idea, I support that move. JeffSpaceman (talk) 17:37, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support the footballer has 33 views but the victim has 249 and the hurler has 18[[1]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 23:38, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
