Articles for creation
[edit]I added some of the stage career and some books mentioning him. I strongly disagree with the submission being declined on 15 April 2020 by AngusWOOF for the reason that “These aren't notable film roles. They need to be significant roles”. As written in the draft this actor “is primarily known for his theatre work” and NOT FILM. Over a thirty-year career, he played in the most prestigious venues (Shakespeare's Globe Theatre; The Royal Court Theatre, Royal National Theatre; the Old Vic, the Barbican etc.) often in lead roles being directed by a dozen of the most-acclaimed theatre directors of the era (Daldry, Miller, Rylance, Jonathan Church, Matthew Warchus, Lucy Bailey etc.). He appeared in 20 of the most succesful tv series of these past three decades and the three features he appeared in are set to have grossed around a billion dollars worldwide in 2020. There are about 50,000 google entries for him and he was awarded one of the most prestigious international playwriting prizes. Why are there hundreds, if not thousands of wikipedia pages on instagram / youtube stars and young actors who have no to just a few actual professional credits? “Non-reliable sources”: at least five mainstream sources can be easily found for EACH of the credits (including The Times, The Guardian, The Evening Standard etc.). Moreover, he is directly cited or mentioned in over ten published books by leading publishing houses. I hope this will be taken into consideration and that the article will be published. Thank you in advance.--拓跋氏 馬 (talk) 16:16, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Name spelling
[edit]Hello @拓跋氏 馬:, in the infobox, you have alternate spellings of his name. Are these spellings that he's been professionally billed under, or just misspellings? We usually don't record spelling mistakes unless they're extremely commonly made. -- Zanimum (talk) 16:46, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hello @Zanimum: he's been professionally billed under them few times but they are just misspellings so I did not know what to do. Thank you anyway.--拓跋氏 馬 (talk) 20:53, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
- @拓跋氏 馬: That's borderline enough that it might be worth keeping them in. Ultimately, I leave it to your judgement. -- Zanimum (talk) 23:03, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
