Name
[edit]In agreement with German Wiki article and Catholic Encyclopedia I suggest to change the article's name to Andrew Bobola or St Andrew Bobola. --Irpen 08:08, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think we have some guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Saints - or at least more people willing to comment on this.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 20:19, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- OK, it has been long enough. I am going to move this to an anglicized name and if anyone objects, please say so and explain. --Irpen 19:15, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Nicknames
[edit]Source for "an Apostle of Pinszczyzna" and "a hunter of souls" would be nice, and pinszczyzna may be mispelling of pańszczyzna perhaps?--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 20:19, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've got a feeling that pinszczyzna has something to do with Pinsk. --Ghirla | talk 09:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
I would write Pinsk region or Pinsk land instead. Xx236 09:04, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Remembrance in the Second Republic
[edit]This is rather relevant: see Pope_Pius_XII_and_Poland#Background:_the_Andrzej_Bobola_affair.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 21:05, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Today some join St. Andrew with St. Peter the Aleut
[edit]Could we have a reference to this statement? I have seen a print of the 'icon', but I suspect the "some" is very limited. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 19:14, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- so shall we remove this section? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 03:28, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
