Theotokos of Vladimir

[edit]

The Theotokos of Vladimir is listed here as his work. But it was painted 300 years earlier. Am I missing something? History2007 (talk) 20:26, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is another version (copy). You can see the icons are very different. Johnbod (talk) 22:32, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What

[edit]

"His name was the last of the list of masters..."

What list of masters?

"Chronicles tell us that..."

What chronicles?

"The characters of his paintings are always peaceful and calm. "

But if only a single work has been authenticated, how can we generalize?

"This became the first (and perhaps only) film produced in the Soviet era to treat the artist as a world-historic figure..."

Is it difficult to find out if any other Soviet Rublev films were made? 2A02:AA1:1042:4C18:E592:9B5D:943D:A824 (talk) 13:04, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
