Belarus is occupied Lithuania

[edit]

His family name is Lithuanian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.218.116.137 (talk) 22:29, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How is that? His name translates "Eagle" from Belorussian/Russian. 77.40.23.82 (talk) 17:43, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia Tag

[edit]

I added the trivia tag to the "Other Facts" section. I think that the information should be taken out of list format and assimilated into the rest of the page. I think things like his job as a police officer are important and should be included. On the other hand, I am unsure if this article needs to include that Andrei Aarloveski likes sky diving. Paulish (talk) 01:25, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

76.83.103.224 seems intent on getting rid of the trivia tag. This IP has removed it twice. Any thoughts on what should be done?Paulish (talk) 00:43, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you, so I went ahead and removed the section. --aktsu (t / c) 01:43, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
76.83.103.224 reverted Aktsu's revisions. Is there anything we can do to make sure this doesn't devolve into an edit war? Paulish (talk) 04:34, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Forwarding

[edit]

I don't know how to do it, but Andrei Arlovsky (sic) should probably link to this page, too.

It does now. 212.108.17.165 15:30, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He is 6'3", not 6'4"

[edit]

In the old days of UFC, his fight card said 6'3" and now he is claiming 6'4". How is he taller than 6'3" when he originally claimed that? Lasttiger (talk) 22:54, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dunno, but Sherdog says 6'4", so I think we should go with that. --aktsu (t / c) 23:03, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should go with original listing. It might have been believable if he originally put that but too late sorry. %99 of celebs do not downgrade their height. Lasttiger (talk) 08:40, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He looks like George Clooney! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.114.81.40 (talk) 21:25, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Record

[edit]

Andrei's record is completely butchered right now. Several losses are missing. Compare that with Sherdog. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.87.253.240 (talk) 02:31, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just removed the reference to the John Dixon fight. No one other than Arlovski's own site refers to this, there is no video of it and the Sherdog record shows he fought Ventsov in April (it was a one night tournament at MFC European Championship 2000). Yes, Sherdog isn't perfect but unless someone can find an independent source that refers to this fight can they not revert this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nisezoom (talkcontribs) 11:48, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

Should both Interm Champion and HWT be listed?

Wouldn;t it be cleaner to simply state Heavyweight champion as the UFC never said "X" defenses of interm and "y" defenses of the real belt- just "z" defenses --David.snipes (talk) 02:30, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rankings

[edit]

Most of the rankings listing him as top 10 are outdated. Killridemedly (talk) 00:52, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Broken Jaw/Rumble Fight.

[edit]

I've added onto the part mentioning the Rumble fight that Arlovski's jaw was broken at a period where the bell should have been rung. I've cited it with a good source but somebody might want to rewrite it as there may need to be a comma in there somewhere. CMCyantist (talk) 23:47, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
