I submitted text on Andreas Scholl but the entry has been removed due to suspected copyright violation, citing web page http://www.andreasschollsociety.org/biography.htm

There is no copyright violation. I am the author and sole copyright owner of the biography, from which I wrote the shorter version submitted to Wikipedia.

Please can someone help to get the Andreas Scholl biography in Wikipedia undeleted and restored?

I am the owner of the website http://www.andreasschollsociety.org/

I can be contacted through mail@REMOVE-SPAMandreasschollsociety.org or through jill@REMOVE-SPAMgunsell.net (delete REMOVE-SPAM from the email addresses)

OR you an contact me through this page: http://www.andreasschollsociety.org/Message_to_webmaster.htm

My name and phone number are given on my site map at http://www.andreasschollsociety.org/Site_map.htm and the phone number also appears on the home page of the site.

My name appears in the text I submitted to Wikipedia. Johnannes Scholl, acknowledged in that text, is Andreas Scholl's brother, who supplied me with some details for the biography.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Jill Gunsell

I have just received an e-mail from Jill Gunsell (mail@REMOVE-SPAMandreasschollsociety.org), stating that he is the author and contributor of the text.

Hi Mike,

I think you asked for the text I submitted on Andreas Scholl to be removed from Wikipedia as possibly violating copyright.

It does not. I am the copyright owner and author both of that text and of the fuller text from which it comes.

Please will you help me to get it undeleted?

The full original is at http://www.andreasschollsociety.org/biography.htm

My phone number is on the front page of the Andreas Scholl Society site (see below) of which I am the webmaster/owner.

My alternative email address is jill@REMOVE-SPAMgunsell.net

Whose St John Passion?

[edit]

Who was the composer of the St John's Passion that was Scholl's debut? Softlavender (talk) 05:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). I have added the appropriate information to the relevant section of the article. –D.F. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FelixMendeldog (talkcontribs) 15:16, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LNOTP2005

[edit]

It is a real shame that no good recording of Scholl's performance of "Down by the salley Gardens" and "Fairest Isle" together with J. Williams is obtainable. Only a lousy recording on youtube.

I recorded the programme in 2005 by TV-card but I lost the file.--109.91.72.35 (talk) 21:48, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox - starting discussion

[edit]
Andreas Scholl
Born (1967-11-10) 10 November 1967 (age 57)
Eltville, Germany
Alma materSchola Cantorum Basiliensis
Occupations

I understand that some editors are awaiting a discussion about whether or not to have an info box here. To start this off, my own view is that art/serious/opera singer articles are better without a box. Thank you. --Kleinzach 09:49, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated: I started an infobox because I feel that this article is better with it. The box is only a beginning, the article is in the process of improvement, as you can see in the history. The box was collapsed, not by me. As it is quoted in a discussion, I propose to not change it now, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:55, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No hurry, but the occupation field is strange in my opinion. Scholl is notable as a singer rather than as teacher. In any case the information is redundant. --Kleinzach 17:17, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I put the two occupation fields in separate rows now, for clarity. Teacher means professor at the same Schola Cantorum. Both occupations are not redundant. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:04, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also the link to the term 'Alma mater' is over the top. Just shows how these boxes teeter on the edge of silliness. Kleinzach 02:49, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Changing to "education" (in the article), --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:43, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What do other people think? Kleinzach 02:45, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
