Thoughts of Deletion
[edit]I find it a bit concerning that, save for the little bit I added to day, this entire article was copied and pasted directly from the "about andrea section" on andreawhiteauthor.com. Given that her last book was written two years ago and she hasn't had any notable achievements separate from her husband since then, perhaps it would be best to merge this with the Bill White page... Please reconsider any thoughts you may have about Deletion until after May 10, 2008. I have a chance to meet Mrs. White and interview her, to help contribute to this article. --Obaidz96 (talk) 00:52, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- There are only two rather weak claims of notability. The first is that she's the wife of a politician. This can be discounted. Being married to someone of note does not make a person notable. The second is that she's written a book. I'm not familiar enough with the book or its publisher to comment on it, but today there are plenty of "vanity press" publishers who will print anything you send them. If her book is a bona-fide work, published by a serious publisher, then I guess the article can stay. Ogranut (talk) 05:36, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- But, the Book she wrote (Surviving Antarctica) won a Golden Spur. And It was nominated for a Newberry Medal. The Book itself was published by "Harper Collins".--Obaidz96 (talk) 22:02, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Needs to be rewritten by somebody who is familiar with English. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.208.104.63 (talk) 19:45, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
