MacLeod

The name MacLeod appears quite often on the maternal side, 24. and 25. as well as 12. and 13. seem to have had the same name already before their marriage. MacLeod seems to be a commonly occuring name, so this does not necessary imply a connection. But since there is no further explanation on this, it might be useful for the reader to remark whether or not there are kin relations between those ancestors. It's more a tribe than a surname, I would guess about half the natives of Lewis are called MacLeod. --dab (𒁳) 16:18, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
