how would being the SECOND woman to beat a man in a televised event be making history?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.183.121.40 (talk) 00:37, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: the recent blanking of the article due to copyright concerns, it looks to me very much like the copyright violation is in the other direction and probably Dobromyslova's webpage is using the text from Wikipedia (without attribution). For example this edit on 12 January 2012 adds a new, sourced sentence together with a spelling mistake 'moeved'. It seems like a genuine edit, rather than a copypast from the website (where 'moved' is spelt correctly). Other incremental edits seem to be genuine ones by genuine editors, using recently published news sources.

I expect this page will be very popular, with Dobromyslova's current success in the world darts championships, so hope this issue is resolved quickly! Sionk (talk) 01:19, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have looked at the edit history and an edit on 1 Jan 2011 by user Vulgar Display Of Power appears to have added the content which is similar to Anastasia's homepage. I suspect this is the same author as the homepage. Unless this is resolved soon then I may revert to pre the edit on 1 Jan 2011

I have done some more research, the copyright notice on the site which has the content which is similar to this article (http://www.anastasia-darts.co.uk/about-anastasia.html) is dated 2012, and wikipedia had very similar content at the start of 2011 - eg. this paragraph is in Wikipedia on 1 Jan 2011 Anastasia made headlines in May, when she qualified for the 2008 UK Open, a PDC major tournament, by winning through the Pub Qualifiers event, beating Darren Place 5-2 and Pete Galloway 5-0. In the first round, she was drawn to play Robert Thornton, who was also a BDO player who won through the Pub Qualifiers, and was the reigining World Masters champion. Thornton narrowly won 6-5.

which is similar to the same paragraph on the website Dobromyslova made headlines when she qualified for the 2008 UK Open, a PDC major tournament, by winning through the Pub Qualifiers event, beating Darren Place 5-2 and Pete Galloway 5-0. In the first round, she was drawn to play Robert Thornton, who was also a BDO player who won through the Pub Qualifiers, and was the reigning World Masters champion. Thornton narrowly won 6-5.

However the website is dated 2012 and does not have any news content older that July 2012 so I think the evidence points the content from wikipedia was copied into the website around that time, therfore I am going to remove the copyright notice in the wikipedia.

Completely agree. In my opinion one of the editors of this article should send anastasia-darts.co.uk a non-compliance letter, per Wikipedia:Mirrors and forks. Sionk (talk) 16:05, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
