Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the individual who is the subject of this article was an English author from the Edwardian period who wrote a significant volume of children's literature. Her books were widely read and disseminated, as is clear from the >900,000 references to her works evident from a simple Google search. The moral tone and instructive nature of some of her works may have led to them falling out of vogue in the decades after her death. However, she nonetheless merits inclusion in Wikipedia as a notable female voice from a hitherto male-dominated period; and as an author working in a genre of literature that has not been extensively studied.
