i apologise for my lack of understanding regarding how to edit here. there is a statement in the main page "early iconography of Yahweh at Kuntillet Ajrud shows him to have been hermaphroditic (possessing both breasts and male genitals)" that is incorrect. the inscription from kutillet ajrud shows "yahweh of samaria and his asherah" as stated on the fragment itself. it is not an earlier part of the iconography (as the inscription shows, it was created sometime after the start of the kingdom of samaria, so after the kingdom of israel split and the house of omri rose over the northern kingdom, roughly 600 years after moses) also the diety depicted is not hermaphroditic, he is wearing an armor breastplate and is otherwise dressed in a fashion similar to how greek hoplite warriors are depicted. the hermaphroditic reference seems to be pretty clearly intended to be an unkind statement about the god of israel. here is a link to a picture of the kuntillet ajrud fragment http://www.bibleorigins.net/files/mvc208.jpg dave74.4.76.57 (talk) 00:52, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it is depicting someone hiding a dagger behind their back while behind a comrade. To make it clear, the blade would still have to be visible, but it does look phallic 😆 104.193.60.11 (talk) 03:05, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The man in the front's sword handle is seen attached to his back, he is admiring nature while the man behind is readying a betrayal? 104.193.60.11 (talk) 03:08, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
