inpartiality?

[edit]

"The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) in Kabul, Afghanistan, is Afghanistan's first private, not-for-profit, non-political, non-governmental, non-sectarian, non-corrupt, world level quality, coeducational, internationally supported, and professionally and ethically driven institution of higher learning"

it speaks for itself. 71.222.206.192 19:17, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yep... i got rid of some of it 144.92.153.10 18:07, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This never should've been in there - the non-corrupt part. Someone clearly added that as a joke.

Affiliation?

[edit]

Any affiliation to American University in the United States. I feel the article should either state "yes" or "no" on that respect since the name of the university defintely infers such. Risico001 (talk) 17:24, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate error

[edit]

{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for

Wrong hemisphere: It is labeled as "W" or negative longitude which is in the ocean. If you substitute "E", this may be correct as it brings you to a location in Kabul, but I am still not totally certain.

166.67.66.240 (talk) 13:15, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. The article actually contained two {{coord}} templates, one of which (the one displaying in the infobox) contained the problem you note, and the other of which (the one displaying in the title position) contained incorrect coordinates, though with the direction of longitude right, at least. I've cleaned everything up. Thanks for pointing out the error. Deor (talk) 15:14, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Past tense nature of entry

[edit]

Hello Fellow Wikipedians, This posting seems to indicate that American Univeristy of Afghanistan has closed. Lead sentence says "it was a private university." According to its website, AUAF continues to educate students "online and in-person in Doha, Qatar". I am planning to make some edits that update this page to reflect that the institution remains open, but reflects its offerings are online for those in Afghanistan and on-ground in Qatar. https://auaf.edu.af/ Scottdjc (talk) 18:50, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
