"Soul/R&B" vs "Black" awards

I watched The Greatest Night in Pop recently and it is clear from the video clips that some of the awards in this article are labeled "Soul/R&B" when they were called "Black" in the show's original telecast.

However, the edit history of the article shows an edit war over this exact subject in 2022, which led to the article's being protected. I would like to fix it but I don't want to restart the edit war. Can anyone advise me how to proceed? Digamma~enwiki (talk) 19:40, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
