This article does not present reasons why the Hemichordata (and even the Xenacoelomorpha) would be grouped with the Echinodermata rather than with the Chordata.79.169.96.91 (talk) 16:19, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain the definition of a Ambulacrarian

[edit]

Nowhere in this article there is a clear definition of this clade. Are there any defining characters or is this clade only found in genomic comparisons? As far as I know it is the latter, but then please explain. Also I would also mention the Burykhia hunti, which has been identified as a Ediacaran tunicate in 2012 and this assignment appears to be solid, which has large consequensences on the evolutionary history of all deuterostomes, placing the split between this clade and the chordates somewhere ca 650 mya?
