Do not speedily delete
[edit]This page should not be deleted because:
- A Google Search for the band AlunaGeorge yields more than half a million hits.
- The band is frequently played on UK national radio, including live on BBC Radio6 Music.
- The band has just released a new single, named Your Drums, Your Love, which is receiving increased attention.
- I hope these reasons are sufficient. I am certain that should the page be deleted, it will only be eventually re-created as more and more people head to Wikipedia to learn about this band - as I did. Crazy Eddy (talk) 05:14, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Merger of AlunaGeorge and My Toys Like Me
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was Not merged - Both are notable enough for own articles.. (non-admin closure). -→Davey2010→→Talk to me!→ 14:38, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Strong Oppose: I think My Toys Like Me is independent enough to have its own article. True Aluna Francis (later in the band AlunaGeorge) was part of it, but clearly both are separate. My Toys Like Me existed from 1997 to 2009 with many other members, not just Aluna Francis. Furthermore AlunaGeorge's George Reid has nothing to do with My Toys Like Me, unless we consider AlunaGeorge as a front for just Aluna Francis and George just secondary, and most of the page turned into a description of My Toys Like Me which would not be fair. werldwayd (talk) 15:21, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

You Know You Like It double-charting
[edit]It seems quite clear to me that "You Know You Like It" has had two very separate, very different chart runs two years apart. Someone has left a note to not add the remix as its own listing in the discography, but it seems clear to me that, though they are technically the same song, they deserve two entries. The second was much later and much more popular.
What with the song's new peaks in territories it already charted in, it would be misleading to put the song's new 2015 peaks in place of these old ones; a reader might think that the song peaked at #11 in Wallonia in 2013 when it really did so in 2015; likewise, one might think it was popular in Canada, France, the Netherlands, and the US in 2013 when it was not. For this reason I've changed the discography section.Mhavril39 (talk) 06:49, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
Orphaned references in AlunaGeorge
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of AlunaGeorge's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 00:01, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
