Page improvements
[edit]I think this is a great article to have, but I agree that parts of it are too essay-ish, and it's definitely missing in-line citations. But a page move might also be in order: the current title is cumbersome and not entirely accurate, since it really is about "John Peter Altgeld's architectural legacy in five buildings in Illinois universities". Is there a common name by which these five buildings are known? A handful of academic sources seem to have used "Altgeld's castles" [1]. I'd favor that for a new title, with refs to some of the sources that use the phrase. Fishal (talk) 04:47, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Order of the buildings
[edit]I'm not clear why the sections on the individual buildings are ordered in the way they are. Is there a rationale? I'd probably put them in the order of earliest to latest completed. In many cases I order things alphabetically, but don't think that would apply well here. I hate to change the order if there is a reason for it, but I can't figure it out. - Chronological order makes the most sense for an article about a historical topic, I agree. The problem is they were all built at about the same time, and the article's dates are inconsistent - some give a range of dates (between 1895 and 1899), others just a single date, unclear whether that gives the start date or end date. Maybe geographic order - N to S, or vice versa? Fishal (talk) 12:06, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
