Chemical class vs. proprietary brand-name

[edit]

According to usage in e.g. [1], the term "alprenolol" is used as a noun for a class of chemical compounds, viz. "Five alprenolols showed inhibition which approached that of propranolol."

Thus it seems we need to at least disambiguate the term between the proprietary brand name "Alprenolol" (this article) and the chemical class "alprenolol" (new article needed). However, I don't have the requisite chemical knowledge to write the new article.
