[edit]Alpine climbing in the Greater Ranges developed long before Herman Bulh stepped foot in Asia, going as far back as the end of the 19th century.
Good article, but who says an "Alpine Start" must begin in the dark? Usually when I hear people use this term they just mean an early start. That could be incorrect use. Remove the statement or provide a source to back it up. Myth010101 (talk) 05:07, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- ok, the FOTH glossary defines an alpine start as "starting before daybreak". Myth010101 (talk) 05:30, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Partially lifted...
[edit]The content of this entry was partially lifted from the three paragraph article on alpine style climbing from http://www.explore-himalaya.com/alpine_style_climbing.php. 204.8.40.222 (talk) 12:38, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- It actually appears that it's the other way around; that site lifted from Wikipedia. -Nathan Johnson (talk) 01:35, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
Merge with alpine climbing
[edit]This is a poor article, and the topic is really a sub-section of the larger alpine climbing article (which I am currently updating. Aszx5000 (talk) 22:05, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
