Birth confusion
[edit]There seems to be considerable confusion in the sources about where and when Kellam was born. The National Cyclopedia gives Nov. 23, 1837 in Caledonia; the Walworth County source gives Dec. 7, 1840 in Scottsville; Sketches of Washingtonians gives Nov. 23, 1837 but only says "Livingston County". Possibly we should go with the 1837 date, but I'm pretty sure that info was given by Kellam or a member of his family near the end of his life; the Walworth source was at least only one remove from his birthplace. So, I don't know. Brianyoumans (talk) 11:57, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- The "Officers of the Army and Navy" agrees on the Nov. 23, 1837 date, so I think we should go with that - it dates from 1893, before Kellam moved to Spokane, so it is at independent of that source (although the reverse may not be true.) And it says Livingston County. Brianyoumans (talk) 12:10, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
