Reversion of a series of edits

[edit]

@Vjr300: I am partially reverting this series of edits you made to the page and am asking for you to please respond to my concerns here before you re-add thee edits to the article:

  • The addition of ideology and political position in the infobox are unsourced. The party's official website calls themselves "neither left or right" or something along those lines, but that does not necessarily mean they're "centrist". If you can find a source that describes their ideology without synthesis, I would not object to these being added, but right now all of this is unsourced.
  • I strongly disagree with the addition of the candidate list to this article. It's undue to have this article to list every single candidate that the party is fielding for a particular election. I wouldn't object if the article made note of candidates for certain notable state-wide offices (such as governor, etc.), but a listing of every candidate for every single office is unnecessary.
  • The addition of the "endorsements" of certain people for non-partisan offices is unsourced, so I am also removing this. Please see WP:V, which states All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed.

Finally, I am readding the notability tag. As a general rule, please give a reason as to why you are removing a maintenance tag before actually removing it. I look forward to hearing your response. If we cannot come to an agreement, I will happily solicit a third opinion at WP:3O. Thanks, Aoi (青い) (talk) 20:20, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I removed a bunch of references from the "references" heading of the article because they didn't directly reference anything written in the article. Most of them did not meet the WP:RS-requirements either. The links are in the article history in case other editors want to do something with them. Position?

[edit]

According to the website, the party espouses anti-capitalist, conservationist, and nationalist themes. With decolonization being a trend within leftist currents, could we proclaim that this party is or leans toward the left-wing? Western Progressivist (talk) 22:45, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Only if reliable sources call it as such, otherwise no, because it is WP:OR. –Vipz (talk) 04:00, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. A source is needed. Aoi (青い) (talk) 08:21, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Aloha 'Aina appears on the ballot as early as 2000

[edit]

Hello, I was sifting through old election returns and found one (here) that shows a candidate registered with "ALOHA 'AINA" as appearing on the ballot in State Representative District 10. The page here dates the party back to 2015. Can someone look further into this? The AA website seems to be down for me. Longestview (talk) 04:13, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
