I saw the request for a review of this article over at WP:Women in Green. I'll give some of my thoughts here. First, I do think this can be a good article with a little more work. It's an interesting article and clearly reflects a lot of careful research and writing. It's on the shorter side, but I think most reviewers would find the length acceptable as long as it is comprehensive for the subject.

You'll want to fix the orphan article problem. Once you have a couple of wikilinks from other articles, you can delete the tag. I would consider moving education up to where it would fit chronologically in an article. I often have an "Early life and education" section. I think moving education up would help to fill the gap between birth and her marriage. If you know any other details about her early life (Did she sing as a child? Any siblings? What did her parents do for a living?) that could be helpful too. I understand those details are not always available. I would also recommend either expanding the single sentence paragraphs or combining them. Having a single sentence paragraph is fine, but you don't want to have too many of them. I think the section on her operatic career could be expanded. It doesn't mention that she was a soprano or her octave range even though those are both mentioned in the lead. The lead should summarize information found elsewhere in the article.

Those are my thoughts for now. I'd be happy to discuss further if you have any questions. Keep up the great work! Knope7 (talk) 01:17, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
