Categorizing

[edit]

Categorizing Stevenson in papermaking seems to me a bit odd as this category contains just topics ralated to the process of making paper, not persons. The persons making contribution to papermaking/developing the papermaking process are refered to as papermakers. Stevenson made a contribution in the study of watermarks of handmade paper, so I put him in the see also list of the watermark article. It might be better to put him in the watermarking category? Actually, none of these categories seems particularly satisfactory. Stevenson's contribution is the study of watermarks and, in a more general sense, papermaking. He is not a "papermaker". The articles in watermarking seem to focus more on modern technology such as digital watermarking. I thought that papermaking seemed most appropriate, but if you want to move it to watermarking, I have no real objection. Ecphora (talk) 14:33, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think watermarking should be more fitting, althoug as you say that the catogory seems to be more focusing on digital watermarking the artcle itself focuses on watermarks in paper.Langbein Rise (talk) 07:26, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
