Importance?[edit]

Sorry if this has already been settled, but why is a fanfiction story considered noteworthy enough for a wikipedia page? I have to agree. That this fanfic gets its own wikipedia article is apalling. Just because a big magazine is writing about it, doesn't mean it has a big impact. In referring to names[edit]

Just wondering, why are they all being referred to by their last names? Not only are they fictional characters, but a majority of other book plot summaries on Wikipedia use their first names -- for example, every Harry Potter book on the website. For Lupin, I can understand, but otherwise it doesn't make sense. ZinniaShroud (talk) 19:33, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is no general consensus for a broadly applicable rule/guideline about this on WP:WAF. However, it has been common practice to refer to what they are commonly called on whatever medium is being used.
