Charter of Bishop Gilbert

The earliest surviving reference is in a charter of Bishop Gilbert of London in 1100-07, as Omnium Sanctorum in London quae dicitur Semannesire (All Saints that is called Seamen’s church, in London).

There was no Bishop Gilbert of London at this date (1100-1107). The first bishop of London to bear that name came to office in 1128. Is the name or the date wrong? Ephemera 20:27, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
