Do you have a reliable source for that? – Muboshgu (talk) 15:46, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I have a copy of the divorce decree. What is your email address? I will send you a copy. 2600:4041:4536:1600:38A4:2A7B:CB47:A08B (talk) 21:07, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If she is divorced..... She can call herself Catholic but, she can't take communion. Which doesn't make her "Very Religious".
She literally "hunted" Donald Trump to be his lawyer. 184.8.154.22 (talk) 19:56, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The is factually untrue. A divorced Catholics may receive Holy Communion if they do not remarry, or if they remarry and their previous marriage is annulled by the Catholic Church. It's likely quite difficult to prove whether or not Ms Habba had her previous marriage annulled without her making a public disclosure on the matter. We should therefore assume nothing about this matter unless/until proof has been found.
Additionally, only God can determine whether an individual in a state of grace. This means that neither ordained Catholic Clergy nor a lay Eucharistic Minister (EM) is capable of determining whether a person is in a state of grace, and as such may not deny Holy Communion to any individual who presents themself to be communed. However, a communicant may be denied if they were (1) publicly excommunicated or interdicted for a grave canonical crime, or (2) determined to obstinately persevere in manifest grave sin.
Overall, this issue far more nuanced than any divorced Catholic cannot receive Holy Communion.

Which doesn't make her "Very Religious".

I would concur that such language could be Peacock but the assessment made is her own.
The Bloomberg article cited is behind a paywall but the BNN Bloomberg mirror site is not and states, Habba, a Catholic who describes herself as 'very religious'. The statement in the wiki appears factually correct as that is indeed how Ms. Habba described herself, despite what others may or many not believe her religiosity to be.
I would further suggest that your comment is making an assumption that being "very religious" has a moral component. However, one can assume those conducting Religious terrorism are seen by themselves and others as being very religious. I only use this example to highlight the extreme variability of the description, and does not imply that Ms Habba is a terrorist. 2601:601:A500:3940:0:0:0:609C (talk) 05:20, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request to replace "Matthew T. Eyet" with "Gregg Reuben" as 'Spouse' in infobox about Alina Habba.

Additional request to replace "Habba met Matthew T. Eyet in law school and they married on September 10, 2011 in Summit, New Jersey. The couple has two children and live in Bernardsville, New Jersey." within the 'Personal Life' section with "Habba and Eyet became legally divorced in December 2019. 🔼  Clarification requested

  • The suggested wording states "Alina Habba has since remarried Gregg Reuben..." Unless the subject was previously married to Reuben, this wording is not accurate. Please advise.  Spintendo  00:47, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"She has served as lead counsel for many cases"

[edit]

The citation on that statement when it was added was the Washington Post article from Fahrenthold, David A.; Crites, Alice. It lists three cases that she's been involved in prior to her work for Trump. The statement was added by Kiran891 as part of a large commit early in the page history. I would suggest striking that language.DoctorCaligari (talk)

Which law school is correct?

[edit]

Hi, some editors dispute that Habba graduated from Widener University Delaware Law School as the sources perhaps incorrectly claim, and state that she graduated instead from Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 14:43, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this has become an issue recently and needs to be addressed somehow. AlterEgo813 (talk) 04:03, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
