In two sources I have found dates of her education to be from 1948-54, however the article currently has a single date (1952) - Latin American Classical Composers: a Biographical Dictionary - Third Edition (Furman) and International Encyclopedia of Women Composers (Cohen). I am unsure if the pre-1952 years were also pre-collegiate and hope to find some clarification before making the change to the date(s) or not. Additionally, dates seem to be missing from several sources regarding when certain pieces were written. This would also help clarify if the premiere of her Concerto for Piano and Orchestra is the same or a different piece than Arcana. Krizoken (talk) 21:56, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The dates are not incompatible, since the year 1952 is given only as the year she entered the conservatory. In the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, second edition, Robert Stevenson writes, "She began six years of piano study with Joaquín Amparán in Mexico City in 1948. In 1952 she entered the Conservatorio Nacional de Música ...". As far as the Piano Concerto is concerned, Stevenson has "Arcana, conc., amp pf, orch, perf. 1981", but does not give a year of composition.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 22:25, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
