Formatting of "Broadcast" section

[edit]

@BrickMaster02: Can you explain what you mean here by "improper formatting"? There's not really anything mentioned about formatting specifically in MOS:TVRELEASE, and I can not find any policies/guidelines that reject the way I phrased and cited the information. Can you please cite a specific policy/guildline and/or explain your issue with the information? Thanks. Pamzeis (talk) 14:45, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just reinstated it, my apologies. I thought it was some unreliable source, until I checked it. Sorry for reverting your edit. BrickMaster02 (talk) 18:42, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Quick fail criteria

[edit]

Red XN It is a long way from meeting any one of the six GA criteria (WP:GACR)
Green tickY No copyright violations
Green tickY No cleanup banners
Green tickY Stable
Green tickY No previous GA nomination

The lead and the first 2 sections lack any sources at all, which are arguably the most important parts of the article, since one of the 2 sections lacking sources is the list of actors, and the other being the plot of the movie. Since most people viewing Wikipedia only read the lead section, the fact that it is unsourced is a major problem. This is why I am quick-failing this nomination.

Almost 1/3 of the sources are from Showbuzz Daily, which is a blog, and is a low-quality source.

First off, I'd like to note some of the reasons GA1 was flawed: lead sections do not need citations for material elsewhere in the article, and plot summaries do not need citations. Here's a more typical review for the page, and the changes are mostly copy cleanup.

Also want to shout out BrickMaster02 for keeping the page clean. Children's TV attracts a lot of vandalism, so that is always a larger task than for most pages. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 06:11, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

One general question: have any further episodes been released since July 21? It appears not.

Copy changes

Before the season tables

[edit]
  • lesser-extent should be "a lesser extent"
    •  Done
  • resulting either missing "in"
    •  Done
  • Is there a citation for the cast list?

Production

[edit]
  • Correct typo on "Lewis Caroll" [sic]
    •  Done
  • three-layers frosted cakes Should just be "three-layer"
    •  Done
  • greenlit to series, should be "the" series
    •  Done
  • children of that time Perhaps rephrase to "modern-day children". As worded "that time" might refer to 1951 or earlier, and later sentences make it quite clear that is not the case.
    •  Done
  • these include: Remove unnecessary colon or change entirely to "including"
    •  Done
  • "Disney Legend Kathryn Beaumont" is the award so integral to her that it merits listing here?
    • minus Removed

Music

[edit]
  • the series music director is "the series" redundant here? or maybe "music director for the series" to avoid what should be "the series's music director"
    • minus Removed

Reception

[edit]
  • "a fun treat, but not one of Disney's standouts." Sentence fragment quote, so period outside of quotes (MOS:LOGICAL)
    •  Done

Spot checks

[edit]
  • 4: The Futon Critic episode list. This is also the origin of some of the production codes. No inaccuracies seen. checkY
  • 17: April 1, 2022, ratings from SBD. Premiere had 190,000 viewers though an episode airing later in the day had 270,000. checkY
  • 34: Release of 7 episodes on June 28 per Digital Trends. checkY
  • 35: Animation World Network article. This contains Beyl's quote; the "heritage project" wording; the use of food to connect cultures; You have to really know what you want the character to do so that they can be rigged properly.; “And then the Princess of Hearts and the Queen of Hearts and the King are inspired by Cuban cuisine and culture. The set design and even the dialogue - we have Spanish phrases and dishes, their costumes, the palace - that was another opportunity to infuse more culture into the series.”; If we want to do an upside-down cake, we can actually make it upside down.. checkY The various quotes are mostly what Earwig snags.
  • 46: Common Sense Media review. Quote is accurately reproduced, and Moulton's comments are well summarized by the article. checkY

Images

[edit]

The show poster is non-free and has an appropriate NFUR. The 1951 Alice image is apparently permissible as not being published without a copyright notice in its time. Encouragement: Add alt text.
