Which type of instrument?

[edit]

Is it a flute or a reed instrument? Badagnani (talk) 18:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why no one has replied to you since 2008, hope you are doing fine Badagnani. Alghoza is a flute instrument. :) --Wildhorse3 (talk) 18:18, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Changes in Origin section

[edit]

@Wildhorse3:The origin refers to 7500 BC. The Pakistani state did not exist at the time. And it talks about areas that are part of both Pakistan and India. If you have a problem with the usage of general terms such as Indian subcontinent or South Asia, then "eventually the area that is modern day Pakistan" can be used in the first instance, and just Pakistan in all subsequent ones, though South Asia or northwestern Indian subcontinent is naturally the better option in my opinion. No modern state existed at that time, there was no Iran, Pakistan or india for that matter. Whenever a name of country is used in historical context, it automatically means modern-day territory of that country. We can use broader geographical terms, like Middle East or South Asia, but more specific geographical terms are preferred. --Wildhorse3 (talk) 11:16, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
