Rugby career
[edit]Could do with a little more on the rugby side.--MacRusgail (talk) 14:07, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
What did the author mean?
[edit]"In 1875 (against the MCC this time), he returned bowling figures of seven for seven off 41.2 overs;36 of them maidens, the equivalent of almost 1,800 modern-day overs) remained a record until Tich Freeman beat it over fifty years later." What signifieth the ref to 1,800 overs? And perhaps Freeman's achievement should be quoted here in full - I don't know what it is.... Alanobrien (talk) 12:27, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
- The 1800 was clearly wrong, and it's also unclear what record was being referred to, so I've removed the mention of it. (There are plenty of other problems with the article which I don't have time to address at present.) JH (talk page) 10:57, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
- Shaw bowled 10526 balls in 1876. Freeman 11825 in 1928. Tintin 18:40, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
