Last survivor? Math says "no"
[edit]I'm not sure where this is from, but I amgoing to change this part to ntoe the last survivor with "clear recollection" of slavery. Any check into the Library of Congress archives will tell you he probably wasn't the last. (Depending on when one Fountain Hughes died, *he* might even be the last with living memory.)
As i say, even arguing that the one I link to might have been born after (it's close, 1859 apparently according to what she says) there was certainly at least oen ex-slave who lived further intot he 1850s and even the early 1960s who were around 100 or more when they died.)99.109.48.230 (talk) 00:41, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
