Poor quality

[edit]

This article seems to have been reworked by a Soviet apologist (namely User:Poskrebyshev, who contributed nothing else to Wikipedia). A cursory glance at the changes made to the article by him from its original state on 11 July 2009 shows that negative quotations and references were systematically removed or passed over, and while some new information was added a large quantity of unsourced speculation came with it, presented as fact (e.g. the statement that his involvement with the Great Purge is merely "according to speculations of Western historians/analysts and Khrushchev", with a number of references that were previously there removed). Not only this, but the article's encyclopedic standards and consistency were also devalued by the edits in question. The article needs a serious reworking but since I unfortunately don't have the time to do it I thought I would flag this up. --131.111.184.8 (talk) 21:20, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would note as well that bizarrely an entire (sourced) section of Poskrebyshev's political career, his role on the Presidium, was also removed in these edits and several dates changed with no apparent explanation. --131.111.184.8 (talk) 21:23, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, contribution to Wikipedia is free. By saying "who contributed nothing else to Wikipedia" do you think this is argument that proof you are right? Do you use the same statements in yours publications?! You think this is achievement?! Are you really think that correction of this publication is only contribution of this author? How do you know? Are you a CIA or M16 agent? Peoples can use different Nicknames....and contribute using different languages. Secondary, the discussed publication was translated from Russian version written by another author with some errors that are copied in translated version. The copyright agreement about using photo for goods was also broken. Third. All materials added by author of this translation are controversial and is not trustful. Everybody have right to know about this controversy and inconsistency. Do you think that publishing of gossips is good for Wikipedia. Fourth, publication stills contain significant amount of errors even after my last corrections.Fifth. I am agree - "the article's encyclopedic standards and consistency were also devalued by the edits in question". Removing of speculative statements regarding works duties of Poskrebyshev, opinion of Radio Freedom, peoples who did not have chance to know secret information but discuss this matter, falsification of Khruschev (supported not only by Gover Furr), Gossips of Rappoport about reasons for receiving Lenin Order, logical inconsistency and much much more.Sixth. The evidences of relatives of Poskrebyshev A.N. is source of historical information unless you are know that source is not trustful. 216.40.146.75 (talk) 19:17, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Poor article

Sorry for my previous anonymous comment. I'm logged in this time. This article reads like it was written by the KGB. I will consult my sources and rewrite it shortly. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 07:18, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 02:24, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
