Award vs Career Highlight
[edit]Is award and career highlight one and the same? Aileen.n.dc (talk) 18:05, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
4th Assist Leader in PBA History
[edit]This is not an award but does this fall under "career highlights"? just asking. Because an editor is claiming that this is not notable. Aileen.n.dc (talk) 18:10, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Aileen.n.dc Steve Nash is fourth in the assists list but that information is not included in the infobox. Why should we add the equivalent to Cabagnot's article? Engr. Smitty Werben 21:47, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
We can also include that info to Steve Nash infobox. Logically speaking, it is a career highlight. But maybe we are just streamlining the list choosing just the "top" or "best"
In this case, maybe the category should be re-written as "Top Awards and Top Career Highlights" Aileen.n.dc (talk) 22:10, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Aileen.n.dc Then try adding that information to Steve Nash and see what happens. Engr. Smitty Werben 22:14, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
I get your point but the logic is wrong. Anyway, I have nothing to say. I rest my case. Aileen.n.dc (talk) 22:21, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Aileen.n.dc WP:NBAHIGHLIGHTS would help. Also, how could you say that 4th in a list is a "career highlight"? 4th seeems too arbitrary. Is being 5th in a list a highlight? How about 6th? 7th? 8th? Until what number is it considered a "career highlight"? Stephen Curry is 1st in the threes list, and even that info is not shown in his infobox.
- I say you could still add the information about Cabagnot being on the assists list in prose (i.e. in the paragraphs), as long as it is supported by a reliable source for verifiability. Engr. Smitty Werben 22:29, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
Please try to review Career Hightlights and awards of other PBA players
[edit]Jayjay Helterbrand -Brunei Sultran Cup Most Valuable Player (2005) - no source Ramon Hernandez - Member of the PBA 5,000 points club (wrong source) Abet Guidaben - Member of the 5,000 point club (no source) Member 2,000 assists club (no source)
So why are you telling me that these are not notable if other PBA players have them on their infobox? Aileen.n.dc (talk) 21:33, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Aileen.n.dc Oh thanks for mentioning those articles. I'm going to clean it up right now. WP:NBAHIGHLIGHTS suggest what to add
in the infobox
. Other awards can be mentioned in prose (i.e. written in the paragraphs), but not in the infobox. Engr. Smitty Werben 21:45, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
