- Why should they be in the article?. A wikipedia article is not a directory of links of anything related to the subject. JRSP (talk) 08:58, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- I think it's rather common to put reliable sources for article expansion in EL until editors have time to expand, which is different than filling up EL with links that won't be used for article expansion and are more spammish. Having the sources where more editors will see them, rather than having them get lost in talk archives, encourages article expansion. On the other hand, moving them off to page to talk means I will likely have to find time for a quick expansion, just so I don't forget to come back to it, and that won't be optimal or thorough; by leaving them there, other editors may get to it before I do.
