Unless this is substantially expanded, this will likely be merged into NY 85 at some point. I don't see a need for a standalone article for this as it is now. I'll give this the benefit of the doubt for now though to allow it to grow. – TMF 19:13, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If all the information was integrated into NY 85 I would like that, however it has been my experience that historical information on plank road, turnpikes, and the other "prehistory" of the touring routes is often not wanted by those who work on those articles. And some like NY 5 is long as it is and couldnt accomodate detailed info on the Albany-Schenectady Turnpike. There are close to a dozen turnpike and plank road articles I'd like to make simply because they can not be fit into the existing NY or US route number articles either because of it would be too much detail about a relatively small section of a longer touring route or because the turnpike existed on what is now more than one touring route number.
If a merge occurs please make it a true merge saving the information and not just turn this into a redirect and lose this information. ThanksCamelbinky (talk) 20:52, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Merged. All of the information from this article, and then some, is now in NY 85's history. – TMF 07:08, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
